PAC UK film - The Stories We Bring With Us.

Being adopted comes with trauma. That trauma makes life hard at times, and as adoptees, we feel it every day. We might not understand our feelings at the time, but they are ever-present.

Working on myself this year has given me a huge insight and understanding into the trauma I carry with me.

Those adoptees that have read my work into adoption trauma, get it. So many of you have spoken to me this year about how much your minds think like mine.

For those of you who are not adopted and would like to get a feel for just what we live with, I offer this video produced by PAC UK.

PAC UK is the country’s largest independent Adoption Support Agency. and their vision is that all those affected by adoption, Special Guardianship, and other forms of permanent care are supported and enabled to live their lives to the fullest.

This video was made to help inform newly adoptive parents to learn from the experiences of adoptees.

Adoptees, please be aware that this could be a triggering film, but if you are feeling alone in your thoughts, this will help you to realise that you are not on your own and that there are so many of us out there with you.
